Pottstown, PA (April 22, 2010) – Bill Maguire has been named Limerick Generating Station site vice president, according to the company. Maguire replaces Chris Mudrick, who has been named vice president for Mid-Atlantic Operations for Exelon Nuclear.
“I have spent most of my career at Limerick and these past three years serving as site vice president have been a great experience,” Mudrick said. “I feel very comfortable leaving the plant in the capable hands of Bill Maguire.”
Maguire was most recently site vice president at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station. Before taking the top role at Peach Bottom in June 2008, Bill joined Exelon Nuclear in Feb. 2008 as vice president for Mid-Atlantic Operations from Entergy, where he served as plant manager at Vermont Yankee. Bill has more than 20 years of nuclear energy experience, and began his career at Limerick Generating Station as a system engineer. He earned a Senior Reactor Operator license at Limerick.
“Bill brings a wealth of diversified experience to Limerick,” said Joe Grimes, senior vice president for Mid-Atlantic Operations. “I am confident that he will effectively lead the more than 850 employees at Limerick who help provide the region with carbon-free electricity every day.”
In his new role, Maguire will have overall responsibility for the safe and reliable operation of Limerick and will ensure that the public is kept informed on the operation of the plant.
